Have you ever had a quote living in your head rent-free? I have—multiple, actually. And no, I’m not talking philosophy or poetry… I’m talking Filipino commercials.
During the Nestlé Marketing Edge Summit 2025, one segment included a live chorale performance singing a medley of iconic Nestlé commercials. It gave me major LSS, so I started using them in our group chats. Then I started to wonder: some of these lines have been stuck in my head for years, and I know I’m not alone; I see them pop up on social media now and then.
And honestly… if they’ve already crept into our feeds, our DMs, and group chats, why not our emails too? Let’s be real. Corporate life could use a little whimsy, if you will.
So here are 6 iconic lines you can (and probably should) use as email sign-offs.

Sign-off: Babangon tayo.
When to use: TFW Monday pa lang pero ang dami na nangyayari.
Email energy: Asserting dominance and manifesting to the universe that we’ll make it through this.
Sign-off: Tuloy ang tibay mangarap.
When to use: When you’re working on a project or task na suntok sa buwan and a little ambitious, but you believe in it anyway. As they say, shoot for the moon, land amongst the stars.
Email energy: Big dreamer energy, no hesitations, visionary extraordinaire. Parang, “yes it’s a lot… but hear me out.”
Sign-off: Have a break, Have a KitKat.
When to use: When you’re sending something on a Friday or right before a long weekend or holiday that doesn’t need an immediate response.
Email energy: A gentle reminder to pause and step away for a bit. Work can wait, and rest matters too. We all need work-life balance.
Sign-off: Just cook with magic.
When to use: When you want to encourage someone to keep creating, building, or exploring ideas without overthinking it.
Email energy: “Let him cook.” Holding space for the process!
Sign-off: Check the label, Mommies.
When to use: When you forgot to attach a file, missed a detail, or are simply sending another email for clarity (because it happens to the best of us).
Email energy: It’s giving self-aware, very mindful, very considerate, very demure.
Sign-off: Great Things Start From Small Beginnings.
When to use: When the task or project is at Boss Battle level pero nasa Step 1 pa lang kayo.
Email energy: Na para bang Slow Burn Main Character, and TED Talk Speaker. Kaya ‘yan! Trust the process ngani.
These catchy lines have lived in our heads for years, inspired laughter, motivation, and yes, even a little chaos. From “Babangon Tayo” to “Check the Label, Mommies,” they’ve shaped the soundtrack of our everyday moments. They’ve brought inspiration to Filipinos everywhere.
